The Motse includes nine individual suites, each comprising a spacious bedroom with an open fireplace, en-suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower and private sun deck. Three additional family suites with an extra bedroom and en-suite are also available. The main house features elevated decks, elegant lounges, an infinity pool, a secluded spa, mezzanine library, satellite TV and an endless view over the savannahs.

Designed to uncompromising standards of comfort and elegance, each of the five luxurious suites offers a spacious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a private deck. The quiet pool, traditional boma and shady salas have enticed many guests into what becomes their private African sanctuary.
Our sleep-out deck, The Malori (‘dreamer’ in Tswana), offers guests the uniquely thrilling experience of sleeping safely amongst the wild.

Fireblade Aviation is responsible for all Tswalu’s aviation services, with daily scheduled flights directly to the reserve's own world-class tar airstrip.

Please note that luggage is restricted to 44 pounds in total – carry on and cargo. Additional seats may be purchased at standard rates should guests wish to travel with extra luggage (a maximum of 50 kg in soft-sided bags per extra seat). Complimentary luggage storage facilities are available at hangars.
There are two options for guide accommodation at the Kraal. One includes meals and soft drinks, while the other will enable guides to participate in meals and activities with guests at the Motse or Tarkuni and will cover all additional beverages.
Guide accommodation is available at the Kraal at a rate of ZAR 2 140 per person per night to include meals and soft drinks only served at the Kraal. Should you wish your guide to participate in meals and activities with their guests at Motse or Tarkuni, this can easily be arranged at a rate of ZAR 3 950 per person per night and will also include all beverages.
The Agusta Westland 119 is a versatile single-engine helicopter ideally suited to VIP transport. Based at Tswalu, the Agusta is available for private helicopter flips on Tswalu, excursions to nearby points of interest and historical landmarks, and a shuttle service to Upington airport.
By virtue of its size alone, Tswalu has become an important contributor to species conservation and is now recognised as a valuable reservoir of genetic diversity and as an important research site for understanding the conservation management of endangered species. You are hosted by a member of our conservation team on this 35 minute flight around the reserve. Your flight contributes to saving our rhino for one day

KORANNENBERG MOUNTAIN PICNIC
Enjoy a scrumptious picnic perched on a peak of the Korannaberg – probably the first human to set foot on this remote, inaccessible (other than helicopter) location, and relish the uninterrupted views of the southern Kalahari.
FLIGHT DURATION: +/- 35min.
CAPACITY: Maximum 4 passengers
TRANSFERS TO UPPINGTON
The helicopter transfer provides seamless access to domestic flights via Uppington, as well as being the closest international airport to Tswalu, for cross boarder safari itineraries.
FLIGHT DURATION: 45min.
CAPACITY: Maximum 5 passengers
Cost includes an empty leg to/from Uppington
In order to confirm a reservation, a 25% deposit is required within 14 days of making the reservation.
Please note that a reservation is not secure until this deposit requirement has been met.
Tswalu reserves the right to automatically release any accommodation being held, where the required deposit has not been received.
The balance of the accommodation and all transfers must be paid in advance, and in full, no later than one month prior to the guest's arrival.
Tswalu reserves the right to cancel the booking should payment not be received.
If a booking is made less than 30 days prior to travel, full payment is required. All extra's are settled at the time of departure.
Minimum 3 night stay from 20th December to 6th January.
Current –90 days prior to arrival a 25% cancellation fee will apply.
89 – 45 days prior to arrival a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
44 – 0 days prior to arrival a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
With the exception of the Christmas (15 Dec – 15 Jan) and Easter periods when all bookings, confirmed in writing, will be liable for 100% cancellation fees.
Our cancellation policy is applicable regardless of whether payments have or have not been received by Tswalu.
Travel Cancellation Insurance / Cancelled or Delayed Flights. In the unlikely event of a cancellation of a booking, travel insurance must cover our cancellation terms.
In the event of any flight delays or cancellations, Tswalu is in no way responsible for any loss whatsoever.
Please ensure adequate travel insurance is taken out to cover all such eventualities.
